Partner in DaF-Network: Official Foreign Language School Vigo, Spain "Official Foreign Language School Vigo" is the participant from Spain in DaF-Südost Netzwerk. This language institute in Galicia was founded in 1991 and is member of the state-run Spanish National Ring of Language Schools, dedicated particularly to the idea of life-long learning of adults. It has around 4400 adult students learning the following languages: German: 540, English: 2170, French: 830, Italian: 320, Galician: 240, Portuguese: 320, The German Department is made up of 8 teachers. The students receive a degree recognized by the state after 5 years of studying with approximately 130 teaching hours per year. In the field of German, the institute cooperates with the Goethe-Institute, where the students can take the exams to obtain either "Zertifikat" oder "Zentrale Mittelstufenprüfung". The school owns 2 language laboratories, a video room and a computer lab.
